Get Involved
SPaCE offers a range of ways for you to get involved, either as an academic partner, a research partner, or a clinical partner.
Academic Partner – be involved with our students and their learning to impact the future generation of health care providers
Research Partner – take part in and influence important projects conducted by our research team
Clinical Partner – help improve how we support users of our clinical & rehabilitation services
What other benefits are there to getting involved?
As well as knowing that you are helping to improve the healthcare experiences for our local community, and the training of our future clinicians, we hope there may be further benefits for you. For some roles we will offer relevant training, and for some roles we will offer remuneration in terms of free access to our resources, for example our new rehabilitation facility (for an agreed number of sessions per year).
What do we mean by ‘patients’ or ‘carers’?
If you currently, have previously, or may in the future access services relevant to any of our healthcare courses or services, either at HSU or elsewhere, then we count you as a ‘patient’. If you provide, or have provided support to a family member, partner, or friend then we count you as a ‘carer’.
