What is “Get Strong”?

Supporting Long-Term Health and Independence

“Get Strong” is all about building strength to support your long-term health and independence. It’s a bespoke strength training and rehabilitation package designed by our specialists and tailored to you.

Increasing strength is one of the most effective ways to stay fit and healthy as we age. From around the age of 30-40, we naturally start to lose muscle mass unless we actively work to maintain it. Staying strong supports mobility, protects joints, reduces the risk of falls, and helps you keep doing the things you enjoy for longer.

Whether you have you noticed a decline in your strength and mobility, or if you are looking to build strength early to reduce the risk of injuries later in life, we can help.

What is Sarcopenia?

Understanding Muscle Loss in Aging Adults

As we age, we experience a natural decline in muscle mass and strength. This decline is known as sarcopenia and gradually starts in our 30s or 40s.

Sarcopenia can impact independence, mobility, and overall well-being, but through targeted interventions, it is possible to slow down its progression and even reverse some of the effects.

There are several steps you can take to slow the effects of sarcopenia, one of the most effective is increasing your overall strength.
