Meet Dr. Alaib

Meet Dr. Khalid Alaib, a Consultant in Pain Medicine, Anaesthetics, and Intensive Care, and the Clinical Lead of the Dorset NHS Pain Service. With specialist training across three disciplines, Dr. Alaib brings a deep understanding of both the physical and psychological aspects of pain. He provides expert care for a wide range of conditions, from neuropathic and spinal pain to Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) and persistent abdominal or pelvic pain.

Dr. Alaib is a strong advocate of the biopsychosocial model of care. His treatment plans are evidence-based, holistic, and tailored to the unique needs of each patient. In addition to his NHS leadership role, he also practices as an Anaesthetic and ICU Consultant at Dorset County Hospital and works with Ramsay Healthcare as a visiting Pain Specialist.

He is actively involved in pain research and education, helping to train the next generation of clinicians and integrate the latest pain science into everyday clinical practice.
