Upcoming Community Event Aims To Improve Health And Wellness For Those On Long Waitlists
On Wednesday 10th July, we will be running a free Health and Wellness Open Clinic at AECC UC’s Integrated Rehabilitation Centre, aimed at improving the health and well-being of our local community.
The Health and Wellness Open Clinic aims to ease the burden on overwhelmed GPs by connecting individuals directly with sports therapists, chiropractors, physiotherapists, and other health care specialists. By accessing these expert resources, attendees can receive more effective and tailored care for their MSK conditions, empowering them to take proactive steps towards better health outcomes.
The event is open to all members of the community, including those seeking relief from ongoing musculoskeletal conditions (muscles, bones, and joints issues), individuals on GP waitlists, and anyone interested in making positive lifestyle changes.
You can view the event here.
The Health and Wellness Open Clinic will provide free expert advice and guidance, interactive demonstrations, valuable resources and more. Attendees can consult with the specialist multidisciplinary team for personalised recommendations on managing musculoskeletal conditions, neurological rehab, nutrition, and more. There will also be the opportunity to learn more about the new Get Active Scheme which is designed to kickstart better health and well-being, features bespoke care planning and allows access to a wide range of services and equipment.
