For patients with mild to moderate osteoarthritis, Durolane offers an effective alternative to cortisone steroid injections. Durolane is a single-injection treatment made from hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found in the joints that helps maintain joint lubrication and cushion. Unlike cortisone, which primarily addresses inflammation, Durolane works by restoring the natural balance of hyaluronic acid in the joint, providing long-lasting pain relief and improving joint mobility.
