Meet Rich

Meet Rich Stanley, our MSK and First Contact Physiotherapy Clinical Lead. With over 15 years of experience, Rich specialises in helping people with back, neck, and joint pain, as well as other muscle and joint problems. His extensive work as a spinal specialist means he’s highly skilled at diagnosing and treating a wide range of conditions such as herniated discs, spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease and more.

As the head of our First Contact Physiotherapy team, Rich works closely with GPs to provide quick, effective care without the need for a referral. This means if you’re suffering from pain, you can book an appointment directly with him or his team, saving you time and getting you back on track faster.

Rich is also passionate about teaching, regularly collaborating with academic teams to deliver up-to-date education across the University and provide physiotherapy placement experiences for students. He has been involved in research, completing a Masters in Clinical Research that enhances the understanding of newly qualified physiotherapists in practice. Additionally, Rich has achieved recognition as an Advanced Practitioner, earning his credentials through NHS England in 2024.
