New Expert-Led Pain Management Service Launches to Support Patients
We are pleased to announce the launch of our new Pain Management Service, created to offer timely, expert-led support for people living with acute or chronic pain. The service is delivered by Pain Management Consultant & Anaesthetist Dr. Khalid Alaib and Consultant Radiologist Dr. Laith Al-Obaidi, who together provide a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing care.
A Collaborative, Integrated Approach to Pain Management
At the heart of the service is a two-part, fully integrated model that brings together expert clinical assessment with advanced, image-guided interventions. This coordinated approach ensures patients benefit from rapid diagnosis, seamless referrals, and carefully tailored treatment pathways.
Expert-Led Consultation and Diagnosis
The first stage begins in the Pain Management Clinic, led by Dr. Khalid Alaib. Each patient receives a thorough assessment including a detailed medical history, physical examination and personalised treatment plan tailored to their symptoms and goals. From here patients can easily be referred for imaging, guided injections and other treatments as required.
Rapid Access Diagnostics and Targeted Care
The second stage is led by Dr. Laith Al-Obaidi and focuses on precision image-guided procedures such as ultrasound guided injections, with on-site imaging and close collaboration with our rehabilitation team.
Procedures include ultrasound-guided joint injections, nerve blocks, tendon sheath and bursa injections, and trigger point injections — all carried out on-site for continuity and convenience. On-site MRI, ultrasound, and X-ray services allow for quick access to diagnostic imaging and clear treatment planning, all within a joined-up, multidisciplinary pathway.
Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy
We offer personalised support to compliment and enhance pain management interventions. Our state-of-the-art Integrated Rehabilitation Centre provides dedicated care for managing chronic pain conditions, including physiotherapy, chiropractic, specialist rehabilitation, and recovery programmes designed to restore function and improve quality of life.
